The child's father, Stephen Rowe, was the son of Stephen Rowe senior and his wife, Esther Smith, who were married in Balmain, Sydney, New South Wales, on 11 July 1880 (Marriage Registration 1661/1880, Balmain).  Stephen Junior was the second of their eleven children.  Two of his siblings are also featured in this website.  They are Roy Vincent Rowe and his younger, unnamed sister, who both died at Niagara.
