Biography

The child's parents were married in Kalgoorlie in 1897 (Marriage Registration 206/1897, Kalgoorlie). Their other children were Albert Thomas Coventry born 1898; Dorothy Gladys born 1904;

Thomas Coventry Elliott was born 5 March 1871 at Sandhurst, Sandridge, Victoria. His wife was born about 1875 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Roy Stanley was the fourth of their 13 children born between 1898 and 1917.  At least ten of the children were born in Kookynie.  Their other children were Albert Thomas Coventry born 1898 in Coolgardie (Birth Registration 548/1898; Ivan George born 17 October 1901 (Birth Registration 144/1901, Broad Arrow); Dorothy Gladys born 1904 in Kookynie (Birth Registration 2011/1904); Robert John born 4 February 1907, Kookynie (Birth Registration 36 /1907, North Coolgardie); James Edgar born 24 March 1910 in Kookynie (Birth Registration 37/1910, North Coolgardie); Eva Myrtle born 1911 in Kookynie (Birth Registration 69/1911, North Coolgardie); William Simon 3 August 1912 in Kookynie; William Henry born Kookynie (Birth Registration 12/1913, North Coolgardie) possibly a twin to Mabel Iris born 4 March 1913 at Kookynie (Birth Registration 13/1913, North Coolgardie); then another set of twins, Frederick Alexander and Sydney Ronald born 4 November 1915 (Birth Registrations 37/1915 and 38/1915, North Coolgardie).  The family lists another child, Agnes Laura, who was born in Coolgardie in 1917 - but no birth registration has been found for that child.

Thomas died 9 January 1934 at Como in Perth and his wife died there 15 August 1955. The couple are buried together at Karrakatta Cemetery.
