Biography

The death was certified in writing by R Goodwyn Till, Mine Manager, Kookynie. The deceased had spent some time in Victoria before arriving in Western Australia. A rope broke as two men were being raised to the surface of the Cumberland Gold Mine and they were struck by a descending truck. Davidson died that same evening. Davidson had until quite recently been employed on the Sons of Gwalia mine and, besides being assistant secretary to the Workers' Association, was a member of the Leonora hospital committee and had always identified himself with sports of any kind in Leonora.
