The death was certified in writing by R Goodwyn Till, Mine Manager, Kookynie.
The deceased had spent some time in Victoria before arriving in Western Australia.
A rope broke as two men were being raised to the surface of the Cumberland Gold Mine and they were struck by a descending truck. Davidson died that same evening.
Davidson had until quite recently been employed on the
Sons of Gwalia mine and, besides being assistant
secretary to the Workers' Association, was a member of the Leonora hospital committee and had always
identified himself with sports of any kind in Leonora.
