Biography

The deceased had been suffering for 12 months prior to his death. He had spent 39 years in South Australia before arriving in Western Australia. In November of the year in which William died, his widow applied for the Licence to keep an Inn or Public House for the sale of Spirituous Liquors therein. Support was forthcoming for her application. Interestingly, William had only applied for the same licence in February of that year.
