Biography

This young man was married for just four months when he met with his fatal accident. James Michael Touhy was born in Ireland in 1834. His wife, also Irish, was born in 1836. Their family of five boys and four girls were spread between 1862 and 1876. They were: Mary Catherine Cecelia born 1862; Michael James born 1864; Margaret Josephine born 1865; Elizabeth Ann born 1868, died 1870; John born 1871; Charles born 1873; Annie Elizabeth born 1874; James born 1876.

Ann died in 1931 in Horsham, Victoria. Her husband died in 1881. Young Robert Patrick Ambrose is buried in Plot 31 of the Roman Catholic portion of the Kookynie Cemetery.
